Adieu to Addiction

Soumita Sarkar

This craving to remain connected

Is a sole bane of internet

Minds taking shelter in smart phone

Disclose that they are eternally lone

They rely on second’s updates to remain assured

This is a mask to conceal that they are insecured

Number of virtual friends keeps on adding

Alas! Not a shoulder for plaintive sharing

When you are sullen and spirits sound low

Members at home grow genuine concern to show

Stop paying interest to social sites endlessly

It’s time to invest quality time in your family
