How Could You?

Cali Kittana

How Could you?
I put all my faith and trust in you..

You had my love and my heart..
Almost a week later we're through..
You used my hopes as a board for your darts.. How Could You?
You had me believe in love all over again..
And then you take back every bit of trust..
You were like a fox, I was like the unexpecting hen..
My whole life my heart was cold, now it's all rust.. How Could You?
You knew I was in a rough spot.
Who knew what those blue eyes could do..
You knew what you got, and were creul enough to try your plot.
How Could You?
When I threw my trust in us.
If I had known from the start you were so cruel..
After you, I feel like I've been hit by a bus.
What, you with all your sudden rule.
How Could You?
I never had much space..
You were always in need of attention..
I spent too long with my heart not in a race...
I hope what you did was to your intention...
How Could You?
You broke my heart in a million pieces..
Now, I have to sit here and glue it back..
No matter how hard I try, there are more creases..
Every happy thing I see now is all black..
How Could You?
This was all your fault...
There is no one left to blame...
I feel like my heart went through an assault...
I should just go and toss my heart in a flame..
How Could You?
You turned me back into my introvert self..
If I could sleep forever, I would...
Like Sleeping Beauty, I would never wake up myself...
I've heard you tell others how you think I've got you misunderstood..
How Could You?
You think I think that?
How Could I?
It makes me feel like the rat.
I guess it's time to say good-bye..
One more thing before I go...
How Could You?
It's all I want to know..
