The nights aren't meant to rest ever one's heart, a poet long lives without a blink of an eye.
Carving the thoughts into his hands, even the heart begins to beg for slight of rest.
The search of someone's need and someone's love made a fire escape and soon no amount of cries nor tears could set it off .
When I no longer sleep with the lullaby of my mothers cries and soon the shadow of my father disappear,
than that's when I'll be ready to give in.
When searching of the saddest place stops leading me into my heart ,
than that's when I'll give in.
When the memories of pain is all I can recall and the days where I'm unsure if what I am,show it all, I'll give in.
When their are no feelings nor emotions left of me and I no longer feel my heart beats hesitating on giving up on me,
than that's when I'll give up on it all.
When the picture frames are hung up back on the wall fixed and happy doesn't only exist on what they eyes see from far distant ,
than I'll give it all .
When I'm no longer fragile and easy to break and I'm only counted as human,
I'll give up .
When the nights stop suffocating me and my insecurities stop eating me alive , I'll give in.
Untill now, I'm only a broken piece asking questions that could never be answered. And I won't give in .
I'll keep the thoughts running like a sentence; I'll stay up nights, writing down about the mess I am.
Untill this rope I'm walking on turns into a ladder I could climb on, I'm going to continue carving what must remain of me.
My eyes desire no sleep as much as they desire the smile of a healed heart.

- Comment from author about the poem: their were nights I would stay up heartbroken , not because of love but because of the things my eyes captured looking at my parents. They were full of emotions yet showed nothing.funny how not so long ago each look they shared brought happiness , now its like their existence to each other showed no importance
