I stand bloodied, exhausted and mentality broken.
All my efforts in vain and what do I have to show for from all of my determination?
Is a lifetime of scars and dark memories.
She was like the rose to my grave in the middle of darkness.
My life was void of love and compassion.
She was the light in the closet that just showed everything that I had in my heart.
It just took one night. One night that changed all that.
Sipping down potions that stripped you of your conscious.
Creeping in a dark dingy room with man with no face.
No heart, no compassion and just simply there just to get some action.
You stumbled out confused, like what did I just do?
Heart shredded into a million pieces whipped in the air.
I said it didn’t bother me but I just didn’t want them to know that I cared.
Anger burned inside for months to a year.
Don’t want to hear his name unless he was killed.
I lost the compassion, the love that I had.
I just didn’t care anymore and that part made me sad.
She was with another man and I was left feeling shell shocked from the events that took place.
I wanted to be alone maybe somewhere out in space.
Something broken into my cocoon of misery.
She said she was having a baby and my ice frozen lips cracked into a smile.
Something so delicate and beautiful and she would be happy.
It just clicked; sometimes you have to let someone go so they can be truly happy.
The anger for the man with no face subsided into forgiveness.
I was at peace.
For once in my life I had peace.
She had her man and he let her into his kingdom.
And I will always be there if she needs me.
She is the queen to his throne.
The women he chose to share his kingdom with.
I am the guardian to make sure that no one ever breaks into the kingdom.
I am her shield and I am her sword.
Threaten her world and I will take all of yours.
