FREEZING COLD

justwrite

Ice cold, heart frozen, love stands still in time.

Stiff soul ponders in the lonely worlds that shine.

Poker faces, familiar places, flowers wilt in pain.

Stolen dreams, all for it seems,

a life that lives in vain.

Borrowed smiles, and the cruelest kisses.

Stained hands, pointless wishes.

Howling winds that drag fear by,

a storm projects the lie.

Collecting all the broken parts , the hearts that want to fly.

Steady on your road now, careful not to stray.

for no matter how the sun does shine,

you too might freeze one day.

I understand what you are saying, i think. I am not a sad or depressed person but I do know sadness, I can feel it, tangible, like water. That, to me, is what poetry is about, how things make us feel, and we are slaves to our feelings, our emotions. Your poem captures your emotions beautifully.
