The Armistice

grange_m

Shoot the horses and Pack your bags
Bury the dead and Lower the flag
Shed a tear for our fallen friends
War is over its come to an end
Sail away to the coast of Dover
Thank the Lord the war is over

To a land absent of young men
Where families will need to rebuild again
Our beautiful green land full of tears
Who will ever know their hidden fears
For that was war plain and simple

Not a time to quip or whimper

To tell our story and have our say

For our tomorrow they gave their today
