"Time"

melisa alpizar

As every day goes by and the sun fades,
As every day goes by and the sun counts down our hours,
As the sky gets darker by the hour,
I guess what I’m trying to say is time is life,
I guess wasting time is just wasting your life,
So pay attention to when i say time is full-time not part time,
So pay attention to when i say forget the past time,
Live up to the present time cause there is no way to recover time when those days are gone,
So for every second in every minute i treasure,
For every minute in every hour i embrace cause that split second, minute, and hour is my life,
Time is my life

I like the repetitive nature of this poem, almost like a desperate plea to remind the one who takes time for granted.
        nicely done!

Thank You. And people don't realize what they take for granted, I just lost someone and that person meant a lot to me so Ive just had a lot on mind lately and I've been writing more than usual lately.

Sorry to hear of your loss.
Its truly amazing how we all react happenings in life.
Poetry is such a healthy way of venting emotion, good or bad.
Good job hun, keep it up.x
