The Murmuring Of Embryos

mustofa munir

In the water-colored river shimmers the scattered
Cirrus clouds, in a tormenting heart

All paths are not straight,
Somewhere someone can twist them, branches
Of trees are full of leaves,
They can talk now! The melodic dhrupad is in
Rhythm with utter resonance,
The dancer turns back, in darkness
I find the cattle-path, Jupiter and the other stars
Illuminated me, all bridges across the rivers
Are shattered, in the shadow of stars
I walk along, only around me the melodies

I hear-- the murmuring of embryos!
