Rain Spatters With Rhythm

Rain Spatters With Rhythms

In the lake of lilies the rain dances with pouring,

With splashing sounds on the rippling waves

Like a classic raga Meghmalhar!

When on my courtyard the rain spatters

With rhythms, you dance there with thunder—

Amorously attractive! Your defined curves I wish

I could sculpt on my mind-canvas with soft

Artistic maneuver, and with my love I want

To adorn you O dear! Very slowly

The night is aging…I walk along with my fantasy,

With my love, truth and reality—

The distance of love I strode in tranquility!

Meghmalhar: It is an old Indian classical raga. The name is derived from Sanskrit word Megh, meaning clouds.
