I'M GOING HOME

justwrite

You beat on my soul like a roaring ocean.

Your eyes piercing through me like a sword.

You swallow me, like a hole that has no bottom.

You steal me from my future, like a thief without a cause.

breaking all I have left, to take me back to where I was.

You surround me like im drowning.

you consume me till I'm empty.

you strip me of my potential.

You covered up my colours, locked up all my dreams.

You taught me pain and taught me fear,

left me bursting at my seams.

But although you thought you had me, trained and broken down

forever sealed and choked and held,

I will never be your clown.

I stand here, and tall indeed.

I take in the deepest breath.

for I'm not about to live,  in a life much worse than death.

I pack up all my dreams, I look me in the eyes.

I throw away the pain and fear , that life with its disguise.

I won't look back nor care if you would moan.

And though I never had one, I'm on my way back home.
