Our Boys and Girls on the front line

Our Boys and Girls On The Front Line

Our boys and girls on the front line, enemies they chase
Keep women, children and families safe,
Families back home, waiting for news
Not knowing whats happened, not having a clue.

With aeroplanes flying to scout ahead
Vehicles on the ground driving instead
With I. U. D'S wherever they go
When they  go off,  no one knows.

Thinking of their families they have left behind,
Thinking of their children and their wives
Hoping to one day go back home
So they dont get the feeling of being alone.

With bombs going off behind enemy lines
Buildings falling down in front of their eyes,
Homes being damaged because of the war
Even the people living next door.

People being hurt by enemy fire
Trying to hide with everything dire,
With bombs going off and guns being fired
Isn't it a wonder everything is on fire.

People's lives being damaged by war
Not having enough money to replace it all
The British Red Cross coming with clothes and food
Helping out is all they can do.

Soldiers with injuries with bombs from the war
More fatal then ever before
Families at home wanting to know more
Not knowing for them hurts leaving them sore.

Wounds being treated behind the front line
Being hurt bringing tears tto their eyes
Being patched up ready to go
Going by helicopter is all they know.
