Just say No

I have seen my share of heart break.

Had to knee down pick up my fragments of my heart and the feelings I had for that girl.

Shove it in a bag and push into the far regions of my subconscious so I can move on.

It’s sad that love is a thing of the past.

I remember sitting with comrades talking about extravagant dates and making that lucky girl feel special.

Only to be stood up the next day.

I mean she has no obligation to go.

A simple no would be fine.

Instead coming with the out right truth she rather lie.

Lie

A lie hurts more than the truth.

She rather led you on then let you know she don’t like you.

Don’t Love you.

Don’t care about you.

Don’t want to go.

Quite honestly I rather heard that than I like you.

I love you.

I care about you.

I want to go.

Don’t fill my head with blatant lies.

If I had thought of you as perfect rose prior to you lying to me.

That image is now dead.

More like black withering rose.

You set fire to my soul.

Not because of the fact you didn’t want to go but more cause you lied.

The thing some people need to understand

A lie is not the truth.

And silence is not an answer.

Life is short and the fact someone wants take time to treat you good.

They are obligated with an answer.

Saying nothing is not something.

And lies are only giving off fake illusion of attraction.

I rather hear I’ll never date you in my life than hear I love to go with you.

Sometimes it hurts.

It really hurts.

You are excited for a date with a girl you like.

You are waiting for that call to go get her.

An hour goes by.

Two,three,four, five.

Almost midnight.

You figured that she was sick and forgot.

Only to see that she posted picture with unknown man with a caption that reads.

Had a great night with my bae.

Along side that caption picture of them together what seems like her room.

You feel that.

If it had ever happen to you.

You know that feeling.

That twisted cocktail of anger and sadness that seems to linger.

You try to push it back deep in your mind like hiding the monster in the closet.

Who would ever want to admit that they were hurt?

If you are a women never lie to a man.

Cause he probably put off everything.

Absolutely everything to be with you for a day.

And saying nothing or lying would hurt more than you simply saying no.
