Introspection

Dire Wolf

On top of the world at a moments glance, then the next I'm 6 feet under
Invincible to invisible, from lightning unto thunder
The ups and downs of this life are all I've ever known
Constant change, pride and shame, made me my friendliest foe
The truth is all around me, but I'm blinded by deception
The misguided misconceptions, come from my own transgressions
The will to live or to the will to love, it's as if I have to choose
The latter is but a death wish, and I killed my one true muse
A perfect fit as Cinderella, the slipper slipped away
Midnight is gone as is she, and I'm solely the soul to blame
