For the Girl I Love

jsims8990

What can I say about the one I love?
Not a thing can compare to one like her.
It’s like she came from the heavens above,
To save me from my nightmares that recur.

With her hair as red as a crimson rose,
And her smile that shall always be graced,
Her kindness melted my heart which once froze,
And destroyed the darkness that I have faced.

She’s my reason to live, to love, to fight,
For her, I’d run through a volcanic field,
She is a princess and I am her knight,
One who shall always be her sturdy shield.

From the girl I love, I’m always her friend,
But I shall protect her, until the end.
