A Difference in Skin

Michael62

A Difference in skin

I have a serious fire in my heart,

A fire so hot that hate forms a part.

That part of prejudice for one skin,

For that desire I hold will turn to a sin.

This fire in me destroy my soul,

Because it keeps me far from all my goals.

Those goals to keep what peace is in my mind,

So that my soul will forever find.

That live for everyone I can lend,

Those parts of life when I need a friend.

This fire is a destructive force,

Which turns my character way off course.

A course that will never negate,

Those realities of my fate.

A fate that things are different,

Just as in the color of ones skin theirs comes difference.
