Being Their For Me
Is what I needed you for,
All that comfort from loves door.
You were their when I felt sadness,
Still bringing joy, making me feel gladness.
And then those times when my mother died,
It was your eyes that cried.
Crying because you never knew,
A mother's love for her son felt so true.
And when my release of my sadness came,
There you were at the gates of shame.
But now I am there and you are still far,
only because I refused to see who you are.
You were that one that stood by,
When my heart was about to die.
But still your heart somehow meant to try,
To win my love or say goodbye.
