In a World of Wars

HolmesJ

In a world of wars
You must hunt for compassion
You must track down understanding

In a world of wars
Life seems so harsh
Life makes no sense

In a world of wars
Where is this thing we call ‘Love’
Where is the unity among our kind

In a world of wars
we are lost
we are confused

For how could those who say they care
Never be there
How can the ones who are here to protect
Forsake the weak
How can we speak of peace
Yet, extol to spill blood
How can we speak of honesty
while betraying those for our own gain

In a world of wars
Where must our children turn?
There is turmoil
There is chaos
There is temptation

In a world of wars
Adults fight their own battles
Not thinking of the consequences
For they only see their own world
Not a world with everyone in it

In a world of wars
Our wars are fueled by control
Hatred
Misunderstanding
Selfishness
Fear
And ignorance
For how are we to survive such turmoil?
How are we to protect our children?
How are we to know the right path?

For in a world of wars
We cannot see past the blood, tears and fear

For

In a world of wars
You must hunt for compassion
You must track down understanding

In a world of wars
Life seems so harsh
Life makes no sense

In a world of wars
Where is this thing we call ‘Love’
Where is the unity among our kind

In a world of wars
We are lost
We are confused
We are sheep being fooled by the wolf.
