Let them look at you in all your glory.
Let them see you in the dark,
so they can appreciate your light.
Men want to hold you.
Let them do it.
So full in form
and unique in shape.
Let them know what a woman feels like
tracing your frame over and over
each time more curious
than the first.
Men just can’t imagine that something so fragile yet so solid
could be made in their likeness.
Men figure it impossible.
But you are not impossible.
You are quite possibly the most intentional of all beings.
Knowing when to kiss.
Learning when to hug.
You know pain,
but you don’t let it hurt.
Only as deep as the skin you cover
during the day.
Your skin carries the dreams of
a forgotten yesterday.
Yesterday may be gone but the scars
still remain today.

still as beautiful as ever.
