Qingdao

Ruthiejones36

It’s Wednesday night and the rain is failing

It’s Wednesday night and sky is a glow

I still feel the same as I did the other day

I still feel the pain and the tears flow

I wish you were here. I wish it would stop

I want you to hold me tight in your arms

But there is no use

You are not here, not there, not right now

You never will be, despite my heart flowing so

I wish I could change the time, change the here, change the now

I wish I could go back to that sweet moment in Qingdao

Feel the sand beneath my feet, hear the waves upon the shore

Listen to the laughter of the others

Take each moment into my heart once more

But this is something I know I can never do

Not here, not now, not ever

Especially on a night so torn and blue

I wish that you were here, that my love you could see

I wish you would reach out and take my hand

For here, for now, for all eternity.
