Warrior

QveenR21

I thought of many things, but never thought of Warrior. I thought of myself as many things, but never thought I'd be a Warrior. It never came to me. Had dreams, had people speak it to me. I was hidden in the shadows and secrecy, you saw the beauty of an broken Angel. You put me to the test to see if I was strong, but all I did was prove you and myself wrong. This Warrior you speake of, never knew it was going to be me. That hidden spirit, rising inside me, ready for those who try to attack. Take me by the hand, to question who I am. The pictures inside me come to life, waking the dead of night, open my eyes I must be dreaming. This Warrior, am I . I speak it because I've heard it. I want to see it because I've heard that seeing...is believing. Warrior am I. Warrior I'll be.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I wrote this poem based off how I felt. I've heard people talk to me about being a warrior. Some said that I'd be a great warrior. I also listened to this song called Warrior by Beth Crowley. That's what really inspired me to write this. Sometimes I've felt that I've let people down or that I would never be great. I've thought of myself as many other things, but Warrior never even crossed my mind.
