I Wish

Max Nevermore

I wish I could be a leaf and have no worries beyond trying to grow. As a human I suffer from my emotions. Bonds that trap my heart in a vise.

I feel just as everyone else does. I feel the beat of my heart crashing against my chest. I feel pain with every breath I take.

It feels like my very existence is a burden. Like my life is my poison. I burn and writhe within my own body and no one can hear my screams.

Oh how I wish I could be a leaf and be able to release the bond which gives me life. And not have the worry of leaving anyone I'm mourning.

For without that worry I would let go and drift away and cleanse my body of this poison and release the weight of this burden.

I wish I could be a leaf. Weightless as its being flies at the mercy of the wind. This world has been cruel. One day, I might let go.
