Summer's Demise

You smile at me and the sun shines

Spring begins and the flowers bloom

You speak to me and the birds

Sing praise of your voice

But now the snow has fallen

The birds have flown south

The flowers have died

And the sun has set

Leaving nothing but bitter cold
