It's Okay Now.

Seraphina

A little boy is crying,
No one asks why.
They just tell him he shouldn’t
because he’s a boy.

A little girl is playing
With jets and race cars.
They take them away and say
“That isn’t for girls.”

Eleven years later,
they’re both in ninth grade.
The both look like normal,
but they both are afraid.

The girl still like jets,
and the boy still feels sad,
but people still tell them
that these things are bad.

They’re both scared and hiding
from who they could be.
Instead they conform,
to society.

Little do they know,
they aren't so bad.
People are different,
but they shouldn’t be sad.

She can fly airplanes,
he can cry tears.
Both should be happy,
not cowering with fears.

Don’t let society
boss you around.
live out your dreams,
it’s okay now.
