Why must we be so far away,
Making me long for you every day?
I just want a hug,
Maybe a kiss or two,
I can't wait for my moment with you.
When I look back on my struggles,
Even my recent troubles,
I see God at work,
Making me stronger,
Preparing me for a world much harder,
I need someone to be my friend,
Of the best kind, whom I can always send,
And they feel honored,
That they have me,
Because I'll always be there... you wait and see.
I'm demanding, picky, and argumentative,
Hard for you to be with and live,
But let me show you,
How nice I can be,
And then you'll always be happy, content, and free.
