Feeding the fire

a.b

Give me your pain
Give me your sorrow
Give me your sadness
Give me your loathing

And I will give you my happiness that lies within
for it does nothing for me
for I have no use for it
since I have only known rejection

Happiness dulls the senses
and sorrow ignites a fire
it gets me to where I am going

For without it
I would be nothing
give me your sorrow
and I will give you my happiness

Bend, shape, mold, redefine it
to your will to do your bidding
it needs another host that is worthy

For again happiness dulls the senses
and sorrow brings about a fire
that roars deep within
For sadness is comfort
and happiness is agony
