"Her"

melisa alpizar

hot tears running down her cheeks,
heartbeat slower but harder,
headphones in her ears,
music blasting so her thoughts can’t be heard,
volume rising cause her voice is to loud, her thoughts are too loud,
her head pounding cause it won’t stop,
her pillow wet cause those tears didn’t stop,
her feelings bringing her down as well,
her emotions eating her up slowly,
her prior situations wrapping around her brain making her go insane,
no one for her to talk to,
cause why trust if they don’t choose to trust her either,
she then chooses to go to sleep,
to go to bed,
and stay in her sleep,
to where she can just dream away
