The man inside of me...

What is in my heart

 that is so dark

I cannot see

the man inside of me

Or who it is I want to be

so free

where is this freedom I desire

freedom that sets the soul on fire

free from life's bonds

as a heart expires

why is it I have these dark feelings

my thoughts heavy with no meaning

to wake another morning

unbelieving

of the Man inside of me!
