Like a River

LaRose

For Love is like a river

That flows so softly to the sea

Slowed by rocks and ridges

But ever flowing, it will be

On the bank there lies a garden

With blooming roses and so much more

But even the life blood of this garden

Flows down to the rivers shore

Onward flows the water of the river

To the edge of a joining flow

And as it meets the water of another

Ever onward, even they together go

Ever on to this task together

Over rocks and ridges more

Not knowing what is before them

But ever longing for a seas calm shore

Good night my dear
