Masquerades and lives of Fire

MichaelSmith23

Day and night they call to me
A scream in the night doesn't bother me
I'm numbed up now but forever fated
To walk these lands in different faces

I hide behind these masks of mine
Joker, Lover, student teen
But in between these eyes so dear
My burdens pierce oh yeah I hear
Them calling and ringing
Screaming and clinging
Into this that shined
Glossy green like Forrest pine

But through all these shades and masquerades
I can't seem to find what's truly me
Yes I thought I had a glimpse at the
Mirror that reflects the key
To life and free eternal fire
But like the aged lose their sight
My mind fades to eternal blight
And when all my life turns to a pyre
You'll then know my hearts desire
