My bestfriend is addicted to heroin

Young Jerz The Poet

I sit here, watching you become a shadow of your former self,
I dont know wether to mind my own or help, your acting different, your mood swings are something else,
You snap one moment and feel bad the next, you fiend and long for the next inject, you say it makes you feel superior, makes everyone compared to you an insect, what happened to the self righteous girl i met? Way back in the sand box always had too much self respect, with beauty that will make a player sweat, think about settling down, but nah... You dont like being down.. You wanna be high as a kite, you says it makes everything feel "alright" i cant sleep sometimes at night, knowing while you do this i just watch from the side lines, while you tango with a pretty needle i just stand by, and if you ask me i really dont understand why, i come from a darker side where everything aint alwas pretty blue skies, but for you.. You waz born in a picture perfect life, tall nice skin pretty eyes, some might even say your one of a kind, born into a family where you never had to struggle one night, a smart girl that got along with all types, A student that waz helping me get right, I would instigate fights an you would help me relax and realize that I'm better than that, but I'm watching you lose your life to a fight you dont want to win, hanging out drinking and making all the wrong friends, i know im a man that committed many sins but what your doing is something else your purposely killing yourself, and I'm just watching, you come into school looking like you havnt slept in 2 days sleep in class and have straight f's used to be straight a's
You used to have a cute gleem in you eye now you looked crazed, at the end of everyday dancing a song of sorrow and regret with a pretty needle, blacking out with that Brazy brown girl, talking to you about it is a fight I'll never win.. My best friend is addicted to heroin
