Majesty / Dawn

Severus Alexander

I wake up in the morning..

And wonder wherever I have been

Where did my dreams take me away

To magic places, hidden by day

What may I have seen there

That I would feel this way

upon waking to a sunlit dawn

A semblance of some majesty

that now to me is gone

thus from reality we stray

In sleep to magic, hidden places

Far away from here

Outstanding Severus. I love the way you question the happenings in the world of Morpheus. They could indeed be majestic for a certainty. Bravo!!

    Thank you, Seeker.

    I appreciate your thoughts...

What is solid, physical, will never cause me to question my dreams; they are purely ephemeral, and in a sense, are the purest experiences which I will ever have.

However, sometimes, in that mysterious, strange and beautiful place between dreaming and waking, the whispers of the unconscious mind can provide those subtle, precious fragments of insight into life, and interaction, for which I seek by day, but almost never seem to find.

A dream is one of the few places where a thought can make a wish come true.

I have the most lovely dreams~

They contribute a great deal to what inspiration I have to write poetry.
