Another Day

When the Angels say, 

"It's time to go."

I'll close my eyes and sigh,

"I know."

Don't worry for me,

I've just popped away.

I'll see you again,

Just on another day. 

I needed this time,

This peace, this quiet. 

To escape from my life, 

Full of pain, like a riot. 

Don’t cry for me, 

It’s beautiful here. 

So calm and serene, 

There’s nothing I fear. 

So when the dawn breaks, 

And you feel all alone. 

Look up to the sky, 

Don’t pick up the phone. 

Know that I’m safe, 

For I’m on my way, 

To our meeting place 

In another day.
