New Dawn

StuckInSweetSurrender

The day dims to an end,

The conversation comes to a close.

The flight begins to descend,

And time slows.

Silence falls across the land.

A quiet no one can withstand.

A fight that can never be won.

An action that can never be undone.

You may try to escape.

Too scared to stay and grow.

Too weak to be reshaped,

It's just so difficult to let go.

But take heart and believe in the power you hold within,

Listen close and hear the wind.

Hear its movement and song,

Allow it to refill your life,

Nulling the pain and strife,

Listen until others come along.

Together the sounds of the world will commence,

Breaking the barrier of suspense.

Comforting you that the day will carry on,

The pain of night finally gone.

Wake up and embrace the new dawn.
