He wore dirty jeans
and had a crooked smile
his breath smell like vodka
In his back pocket he carried a
folded American flag with a picture of his
first love and piece of dirty jeans with a
embedded gasoline smell that she wore
before she parted the earth.
He drinks his pain away to forget her
He is the reason
The reason for her death
It was his drinking and driving that killed her
Now he is stuck in the house trying to clean the skeleton out the closet
But he can't
He grabs a bottle and continuously
drink's drink's to close the wounds
But his conscience keeps that wound open
Slamming the closet door shut
Because each outfit he and her had
together reminds him of each other
especially the dirty jeans he wears every
year on November 1, the day she died
It's hard to pick out a outfit when you are not here
I miss you so much
