When Angels Sighed

williammae

The world was harsh and dismal,

Weighty storms upon times clock,

Depressing days of endless grief,

In a day that’s now forgot.

No flower felt a soft embrace,

No petal touched a cheek,

No animal heard a glorious tune,

Or knew of such to seek.

No fragrance worthy of a scent,

The sun deferred to night,

The stars refused to raise their head,

The moon rejected light.

The breeze had no whisper,

Nothing broke the darkened spell,

Life really had no value,

Life on earth was hell.

The first day meaning came to life,

All would feel the same,

The heart of life began to beat,

The day the woman came.

For the beauty of the woman,

Was molded from God’s eye,

The first event I suppose,

That made the Angels sigh.

    William,
Well done for your "Three Boxes of Tune".
I liked both the connection and the execution.
    Keep Writing....
