A sleep of saving grace

Reivax Camlost

Dusty shade of lilac soothes the soul

Rippling waves of silence- hear them roll

Soft surf against the aches of weariness

Sage and lavender

drift away on evening tide at rest

It was a sense of quiet power there

A sleep of mind and soul suffused the air

Yet gently there becomes a rising call

A wind among the boughs

To bring with it corona- spirit song

The cotton from the mind is washed anew

Replace with sage advice from shaman man who

Shouts and swings his staff about the sky

Bones against the wind

The shifting sands of soul will cleanse his cry

Former knowledge lost as figment of unreal

Cease to care sets soul adrift among uncertain sea

Ancient crystal spell discords as magic flees

Parting mists of mind shall hidden doors reveal

Brought out of fading spirit-song

A spring of cool clear water in the soul

Pass from sleep of dreaming plentiful

A dawn-hued clarity

Of mind and body

That did float homewards on the morning tide

  • Comment from author about the poem: We fall asleep, we dream, and we wake upon the morn refreshed and full of grace. This poem reflects the dreams we all (except for insomniacs) have, whatever they may be. Thanks for reading, and if you enjoyed, please take a moment to read some of my other poems. For the victims of life, I hope that sleep as renewing as I write of they shall find. One can only hope.

You obviously are a special case and dreams hold an important part of your everyday life.
There is nothing wrong with expressing them.... I belong to the other side that can't fall asleep, because reality is better than the dreams. So Keep Writing...
