A Boulder

Eeva

There's a boulder on top of me,

And I can't get it off,

No matter how hard I struggle,

No matter how hard I resist,

The boulder is on top of me,

And it's impossible to reach.

The burden's so heavy,

It's so hard to move,

To walk,

To talk,

And to live throughout the day.

It must be so free to live without it,

Free as a bird,

And without that heavy load.

It must be burdenless and happy,

To be light and airy.

So I'll push and I'll struggle to get that boulder off.
