legends | colour-blind

you kept telling me that everyone was the same, but you lied to me in hopes to keep my soul simple and tame. i’m not sure where it started, but it ended with gunpowder clouding your vision. you painted my soul vibrantly with all the promises you made. the world was black and white, but i was so blue. you spreaded my colour. i was no longer entangled in a web. my eyes were full of enthusiasm. i was alert. the sky was drenched in my sweet baby blue, laced with your succulent lavender, and surrounded with her gentle pink. i watch the clouds dance for you with intuitive sharpness. one by one, you started shooting these false promises at me like bullets. you made art with my bloody remnants. my once enviable soul was now hollow, along with your prevaricated heart. i’ve done nothing but look through your eyes for miles now, and i still see darkness. my eyes were dim, my heart beat slow. the constant flat line sound of the thing that was keeping me alive. it was gone and so was i. knives scraping at the surface. you figured every portion of oxygen you stole was a waste if you could not claim your prize. the trees whistled the names of the tactful yet forgotten. you were utterly determined to be remembered. you would drench the world in lies for your needs to be met. you had the luxury of being able to drown yourself in them and know that someone would always be there to keep you breathing. because you were a boy, who called girls pretty. i don't understand why you're trapped in this misery. you will never die wondering what you could’ve done. you told me i was the problem, but now all i see are cigarette burns are etched in my arm. you left me with the development of hatred inside my veins because you wanted to be an artist. now you can’t even see the clouds dance for you because gunpowder clouded your vision.

What an amazing picture you paint with your words. You have a rare talent telling a story, and allowing the reader to see through your words.
