What is broken?

Justme

I look behind me to see,
All that I've become,
All that I will be,
Truth be told the world is dumb,
Blinded by society.

And I'm trapped in that endless void,
Conflicted,
How should I behave?
Wether or not I'm being toyed,
But why with all the worlds sins,
Do I bath.

Why must I be dragged down to the level of angry men?
Who's regrets and choices are bound to each human soul now and then.

I look around at the earth,
To see the beauty within, everything has its worth,
Like an melody played by an artistic violin.

So why do we feel the need to fix what isn't broken,
When after all
The tick skinned will be outspoken

We see all the wonders that pass us by,
With the powers of deception grow so tall,
We stop to think about why?
For we sink back into ourself
Ever so small.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This poem is a mixture of politics and finding that spiritual side of life. With everything that's going on the world it's hard to know sometimes where your place is, and to feel trapped in the freedom you crave
