I once new a splendid bugger so true
That gave light to a shadow even dark I still grew
He raised me when I was as small as a bug
He buttered my bread and when cold gave me a hug
And he made me a man so strong broad and tall
And loves and desires so much he can fall
But stands once again and holds up a wall
That can turn a true mans heart to coal
That shelters his soul
I feel better knowing he's in my blood
He's kind and sweet even though life hits with a thud
He's always there through thick and thin
Even When I close my eyes I still feel his kin
And even though is creased and so sad
My life is better because you are my dad
