Life of a Shell (Parts of a turtle)

OliveSee

On the front lines, daily

fighting to protect the delicate interior

our humble abode in constant motion

within and without the ocean

we call ourselves the shell

as the first defense against all outsiders

vigilant and prepared are we

to protect and serve the interior

we are not few but many,

our struggle to protect the interior is

endless in our plight against the elements
