Do you remember me?

ElizabethAnn

Hey you, yes you, I am talking to you

Do you remember me from the high school years? Probably not but that’s okay.

I am just here to tell you that I am the one that sat in the back of the classroom with barely any friends.

I am the one that you and your little friends used to make fun of daily.

I am the one that never fit in with your friends only because I never acted like you, talked like you, wore make up like you, played dress up like you.

I was the outsider that you and your friends used to say would never make it far in life.

I am the one that you and your little friends used to bring down constantly and would never fight back.

Well now since I have your attention, I just wanted to let you know that I am doing just fine.

Now that I have your attention I wanted to tell you that you were wrong about me all this time.

Look at me, take one look at me and who I have become. I am a grown adult, a parent to a loving child. I work hard everyday of my life to provide for my family.
I have my own home, my own car, my own life.

I used to want to fit in with you, I used to want to be like you just so I could have friends.
But all along, I never needed to be anything like you to make it this far. I can stand on my own, and take care of myself.

The real question is, can you? What and who have you become since the high school days? Have you made it as far as I have? I seriously hope you have.

And just a small fyi, I am still the nicest person that you never got to know. It is a shame that we could never be friends and you never got the chance to get to know me.

But that is okay because it is your loss and not mine, And just so you know my child is growing up to not be anything like you, nasty, cold and cruel hearted.

My child has learned to accept everyone wheather they are like her or not. My child learns to be friends with everyone and accept them for who they are and how they act.

Looks like your on the failing side and I am finally on the winning side. So keep it in mind that I never needed you to begin with.

I wash my hands of you and anyone else that can not accept me for who I am, or someone else for who they are.

Don’t judge what and who you don’t know, you never know what your missing out on when you do..
