a thought

at times i find it hard to write

this is freedom of expression right 

so why im i being judged by these words

the stanzas aren't long enough 

the flow doesn't sound like a son by birds 

they ask wheres your metaphors and such 

well i don't believe in rules and such 

i write to fill the void in my soul

writing what i feel brings happiness in my soul

that's why you wont see me in competitions

i respect the winners and runner ups

but i don't have those ambitions

writing is meant to be from the heart

its something much more than just art

the power to reach millions with your voice

is much better than winning first place

that's a concept i truly embrace

you say my words are too blunt

these words hit you like a hit from a blunt

simple sweet deep you float to space

you wonder how you even got to this place

i want people to understand my voice

that's why being to the point is my choice

i write for myself and not you

i wont follow your insane rules

because those who focus so much on them

are missing the point simply fools

like the wind writing flows without form
