Death

thatsilentgirl

You could die of cancer,

You could die of hives,

You could die In a war,

Or just going for a ride.

You could die young,

You could die old,

You could die in the heat,

Or just ice  cold,

You could be In good health,

You could be more sick than ever,

You could be killed over twenty cents,

Or the world's greatest treasure.

You could die in a car crash,

You die of a heart attack,

You could die In a shoot out,

Or just by turning back.

You could die of a disease ,

But drop down to your knees,

And don't worry about a thing,

And just take It like a breeze.

You could die a soldier,

A preacher,

But I guarantee ya',

That anyone could survive.

It won't matter if you're broke,

Or richer than anyone,

The doctor can't tell you,

God decIdes when you're done.

Sick or not,

Healed or shot,

You could survive a fatal blow,

Or die a heathy person,

There Is no way for you to know,

So love your friends and family,

And thank God for each day,

Enjoy every moment of life,

Before Its taken away,

No one knows how they'll die,

Or when will be their last breath,

So just chill and don't worry,

Because this is the way of death.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Enjoy every moment of life while we still have it. No one could really tell when we'll die and how long we'll live. The sickest people could out live the healthiest and the healthiest could die faster than the most sick. No one, not even doctors know when we'll leave really. Tomorrow is never guaranteed. So live life to the fullest. Ciào!

So true. Last Saturday a week ago my brother was so happy, but Monday he was found dead. Live can be so fragile. Your poem is poignant and on point. Well structure to render its message straight. Congrats, you have a great poem here.
