Another One Shot

PerpetualFlowers

Another man shot

He was doing nothing bad

Laying on the ground with his hands above his head

Another man shot

Helping an autistic boy

This man wasn't shot dead

No, this one was "lucky"

This man's life path is set to help others

Yet he was shot

And because of his skin color

He was deemed dangerous

Another BLACK man shot

With his hands above his head

But as they all say "racism is dead"

That's totally fucked up. I hate racism. But this poem is deep.

It brings me great joy to know that this terrible tragedy has been lent recognition by your words.. perhaps, in time, we may rise above issues of race..

I'm hoping..When it comes time for me to have children I hope they won't grow up in a world of such hate.
