A coil of memory

Headhunterv3

You say that I am always sad.....

If I could but untwist,

One knot...uncoil one tine,

Would I not do?

If I could but remove,

One thought,one deed,

Would this I not do too?

If I could but change,

One word,one act,one day,

For you...would I not do?

If I could tear down,

All edifices of lies,

For chance to start anew,

For chance to but redeem,

To erase all hurt,all pain,

Would I not do...for you?

I have but words,not web,

With which to weave,

A path that winds not true,

Nor Sisters three,

With wisdom's gaze,

To clear a way to you.

But I am but alone,

Upon this task,this path,

That leads both old and new,

And my Fool like step,

Unseeing,unknowing,makes

Without but hint or clue.

So,would you change,

Your place with me,or ask

For this? I must refuse.

And know but this,

This curse,nor gift,

I'd offer not to you,

But carry on alone,

On hidden roads,

Strenghtened by the hue

of love but bright

And clear and pure.

The love I hold for you.

And you say I'm always sad.....
