Twisted

Doll in Wonderland

Sometimes I get my dreams and my memories confused.

You were sitting there,

Next to me

And the sun was shining, so warm on my face and shoulders

You were laughing,

And touching my face.

That's how I knew it was a dream.

You never smile at me.

You never thought I was funny.

You only ever laughed at me, never with me.

Even in dreams, I never let you see me cry.

In memories,

You are always scowling,

Smirking,

Hurting.

It's nice to get dreams confused for memories, sometimes

Less painful when I think of you.

Why the memories if the cause pain. You got me thinking.

Sometimes I can't help recalling certain memories, good or bad. My memory, sometimes unfortunately, is very long. Lol
