A Hopeless Love

bdradysalis

A disease I have, I am Immortal

To me was a blessing, until I met you.

Only you I want, although the a future is futile

None the less for love I shall power through

My love you give my life a reason

Alone I would crave the touch of your skin

Only you in my mind, any else would be treason

For years I have lived, but with you it begins

I slowly count down our days together

Only an eternity with you could ever suffice

Our last seconds together I try to savor

A future without you, the choice I realize

As your life ebbs away, so does my soul

As you fly away, with you I must go...

Much love runs through the stanzas and much love oozes through the words. This in a fine poem full of feelings, love, emotion, all wrapped up in words conveyed sincerely and with much love. Loved it.
