The Last Option

etaylortot

Empty rooms represent
empty thoughts.
White walls watching with
every step and reminding me
of what I'm worth and
what I'm not while I wait
for some resemblance of a
thought but I
can't think straight
they say broken crayons still
color
broken hearts can still turn to their
mothers
when in need of help yet,
you would never choose
to lose your broken heart because
it's a constant reminder of
who you lost and its
brokenness is your last
piece of him and even though
you're a broken mess
you're okay with white walls
who will wait and take time to
fight for fragile feelings you used
to possess and painstakingly
point out that you're
without them.
you're just an empty room
with empty thoughts
trying to convince yourself
of what you're worth yet,
reminding yourself of
what you're not.
