Keep up.

WhirligigFizz

Life is karaoke,

that I'm struggling to sing along to,

Who could have guessed I'd end up here,

crying behind his door,

wishing I could go back a beat,

It's a symphonic river,

Cascading your body to deliver,

Expectations are rocks in the river that make,

you falter, meander and shake,

Life is karaoke,

that I'm struggling to sing along to,

Who could have guessed I'd end up here,

in the alley behind the office,

crying for the next beat in the song,

I wish I could stay,

in one place until the next day,

the clickety-clack of the next beat in the song,

composing another stream to move along,

Life is karaoke,

that I'm struggling to sing along to,

Who could have guessed I'd end up here,

Crying at the altar after he reopened the door,

his river colliding with mine,

Who would have guessed we would have ended up here, together.
